I'm curious that at minute 8:25 you applied a pink product. I'm assuming it was some kind of wood filler, but you didn't comment on that step. Can you share what it was you applied? Did I miss something? I just finished my first window trim on 60 yr old house. I added a step and spread a wood filler on the trim and lightly sanded prior to primer so I wouldn't see the wood grain. Looked silky smooth after painting. Maybe it was what you used at minute 8:25???

I like your willingness to experiment. My daughter’s a lung doctor, “Do you work where there’s any kind of dust produced by power saws or grinders?” is one of her standard questions she asks her patients. It’s a long list.

I've used dry pour a few time and it works well but it was for laying pavers. I find it better than laying them on compacted sand.

It seems that dry pour could still be adequate for some applications, especially if for some reason it's much easier to do. Would it not be suitable for a slab under my propane grill? Seems like its uses may not be many, but it's not use-less. Or did I miss something?

You need to bang the sides with hammer or vibrate it some all the voids fill in. Then do the final smooth over. the dry is ok for something without too much stress. Dry is more brittle.

If i correctly understand the dry pour is for less work. You can make the "lazy man's concrete" as we call it in Greece. Put the waterhose on the ground and put your cementmix on top to create a "mountain". Open the water at very very slow and wait about 10 minutes. Suddenly it opens up and its ready to put it where you want to pour it. I am courius with the compression test...

There’s no need to do all that work to build spikes. Lay the thick wire fencing on the exterior ground after painting it. I would have kept the color on the overhead netting as it could help dazzle the predators overhead, making it harder for them to see or focus onto the prey underneath. I would also add shiny dazzlers such as mirrors and aluminum on wire to assist in distracting and deterring the predators from seeing the prey.

When the drawer is too narrow, you don't need to use washers, just look at your slide and the cut out around the holes is for this very purpose. You just bend it out, the amount of space needed to close the gap, dividing the space between both sides to keep the drawer centered, and then screw the slide on. DONE!

Only time you dry pour in my eyes is when your filling the gaps between patio stones, and that is just because its easier to cleanup as it saves the mess on the stone and strength isn't really important for that application

Dumb question. would there be a difference in a wet pour the way you did(set up concrete mix then mist it) or have a pool of water and pour the mix into it. The context is like a post hole. Witch would be better. Wet mix, pour dry and mist the top, put water in bottom of hole then fill with dry mix..... Side question. What's best if the hole already has ground water in it or does it make a difference.

When you don't listen to directions/instructions , (45 min misting intervals instead of 30, the amount of water sucked up from the ground... As you mentioned you covered it overnight during a downpour) things like this will happen. Too many inconsistencies, video edits, lack of effort to dry pour correctly. So many issues with your methods. Especially when you go into an experiment with lack of conviction and already wanting to disprove a theory. Cutting corners in already simple direction. Only thing "suspect" to me, is your method and lack of a controlled experiment, as well as color variations in concrete as you pointed out. Wet pour I don't doubt had time to cure. Due to lack of evidence and your determination to debunk dry pour, I say stick to what you know and leave others who know how to DIThemselves, do exactly that. Without an uncut time-lapse video, this is just "fake news". 🤣🤣😂💯 If you dry pour correctly, as the man in the comments says, chemistry and the chemical process will run its course and create a strong reliable foundation for many larger projects. Thanks for the waste of time I spent watching your non factual based bloopers. You only proved that you can't follow instructions and expect to get real results. Lol. I bet you have leftover, nuts, bolts, parts, etc, from every project or build and you're excuse is the manufacturer sent to many or spares.. 🤣🤣🤣. Cure the problem by correctly doing the process and try again. There's zero proof of anything to be concluded from any of your videos. Other than the scientific method eludes you. Better luck in the future. Viewers beware. " I was told to do it this way for it to work, but I did it my way and it failed, because that's the outcome I predicted"

This is goat no climb fencing. We have lost several flocks to minks digging under the frame. They can also go through the 2x3” fencing you’re using. I recovered all of our static pen and chicken house ventilation areas with hardware cloth. Much better! I dug down one foot around the outside of the bottom frame and buried the hw cloth, then mixed quickcrete and poured. Back filled with dirt and rocks, then placed 12x12” concrete pavers 2” thick around the entire perimeter. We call it Fort Knox…😂😂 Our outdoor static pen has metal roofing which protects then in bad weather, and our chicken house has clear composite roofing panels for extra light. 😂😂 This comes from 15 years of experience raising chickens here on our land. We have lost some to foxes, owls, minks, hawks…you name it. So we spent $700.00 recovering our entire set up with the hw cloth. It was money well spent. 😊 Haven’t lost a bird since.
